Home Business Unveiled…
So I know I promised to write yesterday, but it was sooo important to me that I start unfolding this information the right way that I had to take an extra day to think about where to start.
First and foremost, I want to tell you to come back to my blog and read my story. It’s pertinent to know where I’ve come from in this industry, and to see where learning from my ups and downs can benefit you. You can read my story in detail in the near future on my “About” page.
But fortunately for you, I am going to speed up this diatribe and get down and dirty!
So let’s get started… Home business, the type I’ve been engrossed in for the past 3 and a half years could also be categorized as Network Marketing.
Sometimes people (I was one of them) like to distinguish a higher ticketed home based business by calling it “Direct Sales”. But all in all, you create a network of people and you market to them… It’s all the same principles whether you’re paying $30/product or $1695/product. Anyone who says otherwise is quite frankly kidding themselves!
We all want to find our identities in this market… Thinking that identities will add an extra boost to our income, or give us more superiority, when in reality it doesn’t. We all want significance.
So do you want to know the raw truth about Network Marketing?
It’s all a huge facade. A ploy to get to you lulled into believing you will achieve your dreams of early retirement or of financial freedom or of time freedom!
The industry sells you your dreams on a silver platter and then asks if you want some champagne with that!
Have you ever pondered the question, why do 95% of the people fail in Network Marketing?
I think it’s evident when you look at the question reworded, how is it that 5% succeed?
The real reason is that the 5% either get into a home business at the conception and ride the wave of growth, meaning they were one of the founding members. Or they are an owner of a Network Marketing company. Or they do 5% more than what the rest of the industry is willing to do.
Whatever the reasons, look at the facts and ask yourself if you’re willing to wait to get that break or are you going to take matters into your own hands?
That’s where my wakeup call was. A few months ago, after switching to yet another “opportunity of a lifetime”, but still not getting the results I truly deserved… I had to STOP.
I asked myself these tough questions:
Where do I want to go?
Will this business get me there?
How long till I get there?
What are my skills?
Am I being paid what I deserve for the skills I have?
All the answers pointed me to a new direction. One of embracing the True Entrepreneur inside myself…
Tomorrow, I will give you my definition of a True Entrepreneur and it may surprise you…
Till then, I hope I pushed some hot buttons… Feel free to comment below.
Sharing home business success,
Mia
